As Work Based Learning Coordinator, you will support the development and delivery of work-based learning programmes including apprenticeships and/or distance learning programmes in the areas of Engineering and Construction.

Managing a caseload of up to 7 learners, you will coordinate work-based training and assessment programmes and support the day to day activities of assessors, trainers and other staff to ensure all caseloads are managed efficiently and effectively. Ensuring the timely completion of observations, you will support development of departmental targets and key performance indicators and ensure compliance with external requirements as specified in Awarding Organisations quality assurance requirements.

In order to be successful in this role, candidates must hold a Level 4 IQA qualification and have previous experience in assessment and verification processes. Able to motivate others and communicate effectively, you will prioritise and set challenging goals to achieve directorate objectives and identify appropriate development opportunities for team members. We also ask that you have well-developed ICT skills and are able to successfully manage a project to tight deadlines.

Previous experience of leading a team is preferred but by no means essential, as is a management qualification.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
